Making Salve for Spring

I made bug bite, skin healing salve ready for spring! It's just around the corner. The days are already getting longer! It's the dark I don't like. I can take the snow and cold, I just want more sunshine. I'm excited waiting for the summer days when I can work in the garden at 4am in total daylight!

It's made with plantago, purslane, and yarrow. I collected these three last summer and dried them, ready to make salve in wintertime. I have herbs frozen, as well. I use those to make tea for soap. I also use herb infused oil for soap, giving it a double dose of herbs.

This salve will be good for all bug bites and stings, eczema, rashes, and other skin ailments. I made a large jar of it for family use. I'm not sure I"ll be selling it at the farmer's Market this year. That's still under consideration.
